Whether your companion is an energetic dog, a curious cat, a gentle horse, or another beloved animal, every session is thoughtfully planned around their unique personality. I take the time to help them feel comfortable, giving them the space to explore, play, and simply be themselves.

Most pets aren't perfectly trained and they don't need to be.

Your Pet Doesn't Have to Be Perfect.

Because the best photographs don't come from perfect poses. They come from trust, patience, and the bond you share.

A Session Designed Around You

It all starts with a conversation.

After you submit your inquiry, I'll send you a link to schedule a discovery call by phone or video, whichever feels most comfortable for you.

This is our chance to get to know one another. I'll learn about your companion's personality, favorite treats, toys, adventures, and any mobility or health considerations so we can create a session that's thoughtfully planned around them.

Together, we'll choose the perfect location, talk about what to wear if you'll be in the photographs, and make sure you feel completely prepared before session day.

On the day of your session, there's no pressure to perform. We'll move at your companion's pace, taking breaks, exploring, playing, and giving them the time they need to feel comfortable.

By the end of the session, most people are surprised by how quickly the time has passed. Once everyone relaxes, the focus shifts away from the camera and onto simply enjoying time together. That's when the most meaningful photographs are created.

Every Stage Matters

The life you're sharing right now is worth remembering.

The playful years, the familiar routines, the adventures, and all the little things that make them unmistakably them. Life changes, they change, and somehow it all happens faster than we expect.

That's why I believe these photographs deserve more than a place on your phone. They deserve to become part of your home—artwork you pass every day that brings you back to this chapter of your life together.

A reminder of the joy they bring, the bond you share, and just how grateful you are to have them in your life.

Meet Jana

Your Pet Sets the Pace. I Follow Their Lead.

I've always felt at ease around animals. They have a way of slowing me down, and I've learned that the best way to connect with them is simple: meet them where they are and follow their pace, not mine.

My years as a nurse have only strengthened that approach—paying attention, staying patient, and adapting to what someone needs in the moment. I bring that same calm awareness to every photography session.

The session isn't about me or what I need from your pet. It's about who they are, the relationship you share, and creating photographs that feel true to both of you.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me exploring Maine with my own dog, Bear—taking long walks or heading to the beach with his favorite ball in tow. Without the ball, he's apparently decided there's absolutely no reason to go in the water. And no matter how much adventuring we do, the moment I sit down at home, Bear believes my lap belongs to him.

Find the Right Session

Every session includes a collection of digital photographs to keep, with the option to add more favorites or turn the ones you love most into custom artwork for your home.
